Obituary

Adrien Seth Rodriguez Bonilla of Fredericksburg passed away on August 20, 2024 at the age of 28. He was born in Fredericksburg on December 13, 1995 to Jesse Pedro Bonilla and Mercedes Eunice Rodriguez.

Adrien had the sweetest soul and always had the biggest smile on his face. He gave the biggest and strongest hugs. If you knew Adrien, you knew how much he loved and cared for you. Adrien loved his family, most of all his dad Jesse, his brothers Joe, JR and Ziah and his older sister Selena. He loved his bonus mom Karla and his mom Mercedes. But most importantly his nephews Joe and Anakin and his niece Noemi.

Adrien served in the Marine Corps from 2015 to 2019 as a 0331 Machine Gunner. He was a Lance Corporal and was assigned to the 3rd Battalion, 8th Marine Regiment, Weapons Company, 2ndMarine Division, Camp Lejeune, N.C.

Some of Adrien's favorite things were playing online on his PS5, hanging out with his family, fishing, hiking, working out, wrestling with his brothers, playing pool, drinking good beer, he always loved facetiming his bonus mom for cooking lessons, cruising in his pickup and loved to roll up a fat one with his brothers and sister. Adrien was always a joy to be around and loved to joke around and make everyone around him laugh. He really was the greatest person to have walked alongside us and we will carry his memory on forever. Til Valhalla, our warrior!

Adrien bravely battled through his difficult private struggles, always with the support of his loving family. Though times weren't always easy, Adrien knew that he was loved and cared for by those closest to him and showed tremendous strength throughout it all.
If you or a loved one are struggling with mental health, reach out to 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline. The first step towards this is seeking help. Adrien would not have wanted to see someone else having the same difficulties.
