Alma Jean Moellering passed away Wednesday, September 21st, at the age of 62. Alma Jean Moellering was born on November 29, 1953 to Wilfred Backman and Winifred McDonald in Milwaukie OR.

Alma Jean Moellering touched many young lives through being a Girl Scout Leader. She taught them how to be strong, independent, young girls. She also enjoyed her bowling leagues, which she later passed this passion down to her son and grandsons. Her love for life shined bright when music inspired her to move to the rhythm.  Her movements where so magnetic that anyone around her could not help to enjoy in these moments with her.

Fate brought her to Fredericksburg TX; where she met her husband Danny Moellering, and quickly fell in love.  She married Daniel Lee Moellering on May 31, 2008. She enjoyed spending time with her husband participating in the Hubertus Shooting Club. She was then inspired to organize an all-woman's shooting club "Scharfschuetzen Shooting Club". Alma was also strong in her faith and was an active member of the Oak Hills Church, in Fredericksburg. She enjoyed greeting the members of her congregation on Sunday mornings. She was a woman of faith which was so infectious that others couldn't help but be drawn to her love of life and passion for the Lord.

Alma Jean is survived by her husband, Danny Moellering of Fredericksburg; children: daughter Billie Jean Begando, son, Kevin Krause and his wife Jessica Krause and her grandchildren James Logan Krause and Lucas Xavier Krause, sister Betty Ann Vaughn and her husband Christopher Lee Vaughn, brother Billy Backman, brother and sister in-law Alton and Dorthy Moellering, and Harvey and Debbie Mollering.  She is preceded in death by her parents Wilfred Backman and Winifred McDonald, brothers Wilfred Backman Jr. and Victor Lynn Backman.
