Alton August Christian Bruns of Fredericksburg passed away on March 13, 2019 at the age of 92.

He was born on September 30. 1926 in Fredericksburg, to Henry and Edna Schaefer Bruns. He married Florine Duecker on December 7, 1952. He served in the US Army from 1955 -1957.
He is survived by his wife of 66 years Florine Duecker Bruns of Fredericksburg, daughters Judy Jenschke and husband Ted of Austin, Trudy Frantzen of Fredericksburg; 3 grandchildren; Cimarron Jenschke and wife Michelle, Blaze Jenschke and wife Christina, Jardin "Ace" Morquecho; 4 great grandchildren Jude Donahue, Max Donahue, Ava Jenschke and Dalton Jenschke, Sisters–in-law Josephine Alberthal, Elizabeth Sublett, and Ruby Duecker.
Alton is preceded in death by his parents Henry and Edna Bruns, sisters Vera Staats, and Velma Itz, and son-in-law Kurt Frantzen.

Visitation with the family will take place on Tuesday, March 19 from 12:00p.m. to 2:00p.m. in Bethany Lutheran Church
A memorial service will follow at 2:00p.m. in Bethany Lutheran Church with pastor Casey Zesch presiding.
