Alvin James Helmers passed away June 9th at the age of 78.

Alvin is survived by his son, Keith Helmers and wife Leah Crumley as well as 2 grandchildren, Cody and Mason Helmers.

Alvin was born July 26, 1944, in Fredericksburg, to Albert and Marie Schumann Helmers. He married Carolyn Ann Solbrig June 12, 1971. He was preceded in death by his parents and wife.

The family will greet friends 5-7 p.m., Thursday, June 15th, in Fredericksburg Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m., Friday, June 16th, in the chapel of Fredericksburg Funeral Home, with Rev. Alan Williams officiating. Graveside services and interment will follow in the Wilke Cemetery.
