Arturo Gaona Garcia of Fredericksburg passed away on Sunday April 21, 2019 at the age of 56. He was born on September 14, 1962 in Mexico to Ruben and Petra Garcia. He married Maria Cristina Castillo on March 3, 1984.

He is survived by his parents Ruben and Petra Garcia, wife Maria Cristina Garcia, children Tivisay Estrada and husband Ruben of Island Park ID, Edgar Garcia of Fredericksburg, and Jeanette Villarreal of Fredericksburg.; his sisters Guadalupe Noriega and husband Leonel of Fredericksburg, Imelda Moreno and husband Felipe of El Paso, Maria Garcia of Fredericksburg, Manuela Zamora and husband Victor of Dallas.

He is preceded in death by a sister Odilia Garcia.

Visitation will take place on Thursday April 25, 2019 from 4:00p.m. – 8:00p.m. in the Fredericksburg Funeral Home.

Funeral service will be on Friday April 26, 2019 at 10:30 a.m. in the Fredericksburg Funeral Home.

Arturo nació de Ruben y Petra Garcia el 14 de Septiembre,1962 en Francisco Javier Mina, Durango.  Se caso con su esposa, Maria Cristina, el 3 de Marzo, 1984.  Se mudaron a Fredericksburg, TX y fue donde nacieron sus hijos, Tivisay y Edgar Garcia.

Le sobreviven su querida esposa, Maria Cristina, y sus hijos, Tivisay Estrada (y su esposo Ruben Estrada) y su hijo, Edgar Garcia (y su esposa Jeanette Villarreal), sus padres, Ruben y Petra Garcia, sus hermanas Guadalupe Noriega y familia, Ismelda Moreno y familia, Araceli Garcia y familia, y Manuela Zamora y familia.

Arturo era un gran hombre, un esposo ejemplar, y un padre maravilloso.  Fue una persona encantadora, bondadosa, noble y sobre todo siempre tenia una gran sonrisa en el rostro.  Nunca faltaba una de sus ocurrencias que nos hacia reír a todos.  Arturo siempre vivirá en nuestros corazones y queremos que viva en su memoria por siempre.

La familia Garcia quiere agradecer a todos aquellos quienes demostraron sus condolencias y su apoyo en estos momentos de dolor.
