Elizabeth "Betty" Behrend passed away Saturday, April 6 ^th , at the age of 90.

Betty is survived by 2 daughters: Judy Philp and husband Dan of San Antonio, Joyce Thiele and husband Bruce of Fredericksburg, 3 grandchildren: Broc Thiele and wife Humbertina of Fredericksburg, Jill Taylor and husband John of Austin, Ross Thiele and wife Monica Ortenzio of San Antonio, 2 great grandchildren: Gema and Escar Thiele, brother Hans Basse and wife Bernice and sister-in-law Betty Ann Basse.

Betty was born July 10, 1928, in Fredericksburg, to Frank and Meta Schlaudt Basse. She married August Behrend Jr., June 1, 1947. She was preceded in death by her parents her husband and a brother, Frank Basse.

Funeral services for Betty Behrend will be 10:30 a.m., Thursday, April 11 ^th , in Bethany Lutheran Church, with Rev.'s Casey Zesch and Kevin Haug officiating. Graveside services will follow in Greenwood Cemetery.

The family will greet friends 4:30-6:30 p.m., Wednesday, April 10 ^th , in Fredericksburg Funeral Home and 9:30-10:30 a.m., Thursday, April 11 ^th , in Bethany Lutheran Church.
