Elizabeth "Betty" Fletcher , age 87, after a brief illness and surrounded by family, ascended to Heaven with her Lord and Savior, October 23, 2018.

Betty was born December 2nd, 1930, in Fredericksburg, to Henry F. and Mathilda (Weirich) Borchers. Betty was a 1951 graduate of Breckenridge Nursing School in Austin, TX. She was a practicing LPN, RN and ERN for more than 50 years in San Antonio TX, Gainesville FL, and Fredericksburg TX. Betty married Dale Thompson Fletcher, June 21, 1952, in Holy Ghost Lutheran Church of Fredericksburg. She enjoyed working with her hands knitting, crocheting, sewing and needle point. She loved collecting porcelain dolls and doting on her beloved dog Phoebe.

Betty is survived by her 3 children: Lizabeth Jane (Wayne) Oaks, John Thomas (Veronica) Fletcher, Dr. Frederick Addison (Teddi) Fletcher; brother Roland Borchers; 11 grandchildren, many great grandchildren; sister-in-law Fran Borchers and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Betty was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son Alan Dale Fletcher and brother Robert Borchers.

A celebration of Betty's life will take place 10 a.m., Saturday, July 13 ^th , in the chapel of Fredericksburg Funeral Home, with Rev. David Priem officiating, followed by a reception. A private graveside service and interment of her ashes will be in the Meusebach Creek Cemetery.
