Billy Ray "Bill" Pate of Fredericksburg passed away Friday, January 19, 2018 at the age of 90 surrounded by family and friends. He was born to Ira and Mabel Pate on August 29, 1927 in Murphysboro, Illinois. He served in the Army during WWII. On June 1, 1968 he married Nancy Elizabeth Perrin in Bellflower, CA.

Bill was an avid outdoorsman who loved to fish and hunt, and he enjoyed sharing his passion for fishing, teaching several children to fish and enjoy the outdoors.

Bill is survived by his wife, Nancy Pate, of Fredericksburg, his daughter, Nancy Delalla of Desert Hot Springs, CA and brother, Ira Pate, of La Habra, CA, several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents Ira and Mabel Pate, daughter Patty Pate, and brothers Lewis and Jack Pate.

A celebration of Bill's life will take place on Friday, January 26, 2018 at 2 p.m. at Calvary Pentecostal Church of Fredericksburg where he was an active member.
