It is with much sadness that the family of Bobby Glenn Allen share that he passed away on February 4, 2026, in San Antonio. Bobby, 85, was born in Liberty to Ira "Bud" Allen and Lillian Hulen  ( now deceased) and including siblings Harry Lee, Patricia, and surviving brother Carl "Corky."

Bobby and brother-in-law Charles T. "Chuck" Jones farmed rice as partners many years in the Gulf Coast area, and rice farmer is how he always identified himself. Surviving are Chuck Jones and his wife Glenda Jones. Preceding Bobby in death include mother- and father-in-law Olga and Charles H. Jones, Jr.

What began as a hayride to celebrate a friend's birthday on December 3, 1954, began
a Going Steady relationship with Cheryl Kay Jones which continues today with marriage, birth of daughter Angela Kay, grandchildren Zachary Allen Zbranek and Zoe Ariel and husband Derek Allen Hoffpauir and great-grandson Atlas Allen Hoffpauir.

Although he enjoyed the friendships, the accolades and the many activities over these many years, Bobby has requested that in lieu of any formal services that he be remembered in whatever way they find most meaningful.
