Carolyn Ann Vierus passed away June 20th at the age of 79. She is survived by her husband, Ronnie Vierus of Fredericksburg; children Dale Vierus of Castell, Natalie Vollmar and husband Tracy of Kerrville, John Dean Vierus and Colleen Webb of Austin; 7 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; siblings Eunice Duecker, Eileen Itri and usband Don, Angeline Cooper and husband Tom, Vivian Land, Melvin Wallendorf and wife Claire.

Carolyn was born December 8, 1944, in Fredericksburg, to Kurt and Veronica Pehl Wallendorf. She was preceded in death by her parents, a grandchild Mindy Vierus, siblings Delores Schaefer and Leona Wallendorf as well as brothers-in-law Alan Land and Lester Duecker.

Carolyn attended St. Mary's School and was the lead organist during her high school years for Masses, weddings and funerals at St Mary's Church.

She was an amazing woman. In her role as a daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend she was an example of love and grace. She was a very talented artist, pianist and seamstress, loved to sew, crochet, knit, embroider, craft, paint, cook, garden, read and sing with her sisters. She also loved to learn new things, travel and gamble. She was a caring nurse and was on the team which opened the new Hill Country Memorial Hospital. She especially enjoyed the OB and working with the elderly. She loved her family beyond measure and was kind to everyone.

She always said: Life was God's gift us, what we do with it is your gift to God. She was such a strong person and loved life completely and joyfully.

Carolyn Vierus will be cremated with services at a later date.
