Charlean Frances Alexander passed away peacefully on Thursday, Sept. 26, 2024 in Fredericksburg, Texas.  She was 92 years old.

Charlean was born in Victoria, Texas to Alvina and Charles Gajewsky, and moved to Houston at a young age.  She was a graduate of Lamar High School, and attended Rice University where she met her late husband Landon.  They retired to Rockport, Texas.  Charlean was an excellent tennis player, a fierce Mahjong competitor and enjoyed boating and traveling.  In 2022 she moved to assisted living in Fredericksburg.

She is survived by her children, Keith Alexander of Houston, Sherry Alexander and her husband Mathew Haley of Mason and Mary Jones of Wimberley, as well as grandchildren Jacqueline McLaren, Brian Alexander, Lucy Angle and Alicia Angle and numerous great grandchildren, relatives and friends.

A funeral will be held on Wed., October 16 at 2:00 p.m. at St. Peter's Episcopal Church, 555 Enterprise Blvd., Rockport.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donation to Castaways Thrift Shop in Rockport or St. Peter's Episcopal Church.
