Charles (Chuck) Achinelli passed away Saturday, March 8th, at the age of 84.


Chuck was born March 14, 1929, to Antonio & Clara Rojas Achinelli in New York City. He lived in New York City until he was 10 years old, when they moved to Coconut Grove, FL. Chuck served in the U. S. Coastguard from 1947 through 1951, receiving an honorable discharge. He then went to work in his father's nightclub, El Torreador. He married twice, having 3 sons. In 1978, he moved to Fredericksburg, & married Ruby Friedrich in 1979. Together, they ran the Palace Theatre in Fredericksburg for many years.


Chuck is survived by 2 sons, Frank & Charles Achinelli, Jr., both of Florida; step-daughter, Connie Prade & husband Doug of New Braunfels; 1 grandchild; 4 step-grandchildren & 8 step-great grandchildren.
Chuck is preceded in death by his parents, his wife Ruby, & a son, Tony Achinelli.

Per his wishes, Chuck will be cremated, with a memorial service 1 p.m., Tuesday, March 11th, in the chapel of Fredericksburg Funeral Home. Private interment of his ashes will occur at a later date.

The family will greet friends 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Tuesday before the service.
