Charles Ray Brady was born May 1, 1948 in Hodgenville, KY. He is preceded in death by his parents, Johney Lee and Zelma Ewing Brady, and survived by four sisters, Alia, Brenda (George), Patricia (Brian), Paula (John) brother John (Eve), and numerous nieces and nephews.
He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Texas at El Paso in Mathematics and Secondary Education.

He married Shelly Jo Hook on April 27, 1979 in El Paso, Texas. Charles is the father of Clayton (Anna) and Kyle (Gabrielle), and Grandpa Brady to Violet, Kira, Steele, Austin, Krystin, Kathie, Kayla, Roger, Dalin, Jenna, Aaron, Ethan, Justin, and Caden as well as an uncle and great uncle.

Charles supported his family as a follower of Christ, an Operating Engineer, Local 351, in far west Texas and New Mexico, and later as a program supervisor working with at-risk children in Juneau, Alaska. Upon retirement he settled in the Texas Hill Country.

Charles is remembered as having a strong work ethic and dedication to his family. He enjoyed working with his hands and made numerous items for friends and family. He rode his motorcycle, "Darlin", through 28 states.

Charles was called home by his Savior Jesus Christ on June 11, 2023. He will be long remembered as a loving brother, husband, father, grandfather and friend.

Funeral service will be held at Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church, 219 W Lower Crabapple Rd, Fredericksburg, Texas 78624
on June 20, 2023 at 11:00, with viewing at 10:00.
