Charles Gene Grote, 79, of Dripping Springs, TX, formerly of Fredericksburg, TX, died Tuesday September 23, 2025. Visitation to be held Tuesday, Sept. 30 at Frederickburg Funeral Hom from 4-6pm. Funeral Service will be at Fredericksburg United Methodist Church on Wednesday, Oct. 1 at 1:00 pm. Interment will follow at Der Stadt Friedhof. Charlie was born July 12, 1946, in Fredericksburg, the son of Carlos and Eugenia Grote. He is survived by his wife, Debbey Grote, of Dripping Springs; a daughter, Gina McKallip and husband Dave; a daughter, Leigh Sells, stepson, Sean Grote and wife Ofelia; grandchildren Ben, Sarah and Rebecca McKallip; Seth, Adrian and Andrew Grote; and Charlie Sells; and a sister, Patsy Hauptrief and husband Lawrence; and many extended family members.
