Charles Lee “Lee” Hereford of Harper passed away on July 22, 2026 at the age of 70. He was born in Austin to Charles Ray and Bobbie Jean Vaught Hereford. He married C.J. Downs in June of 1976.

Lee is survived by his wife C.J. (Carolyn Jane) Hereford of Harper, son Charles William Hereford and wife Katie of San Antonio, Carolyn Anne Hereford of League City TX, Step-mother Sue Hereford, siblings Lyn Hereford of Tyler TX, John Hereford of Huntsville TX, SuAnn Hereford of Conroe, Lori Hereford of Houston; grandchildren; Abbie Vlasek, Bella Vlasek, Charles Oliver Hereford; great granddaughter Trinity Hamm.

He is preceded in death by his parents Charles Ray and Bobbie Jean Hereford; brother Larry Hereford.

A celebration of life will take place on August 1, 2026 at 1:00p.m. in the Fredericksburg Funeral Home.
