Dr. Corwin L. Anderegg of Fredericksburg, Texas passed away in Fredericksburg, on Sunday, January 16 at the age of 88.

Corwin retired in December 1988, following a career in dentistry. From 1957-1959, he served the United States in Japan as a Captain in the United States of America.

Anderegg was born on March 5, 1933, the son of Dan Anderegg, Sr. and Bessie Geistweidt Anderegg. He grew up in Fredericksburg and played on the tennis team in high school. After high school, he attended the University of Texas at Austin and then moved to Houston to  attend UT Dental Branch.  After receiving his doctorate; he joined the United States Air Force;

Following a tour of duty as a Captain, he returned from Japan to start his dental practice in Houston and later moved to San Antonio.

In 1957, Anderegg married the former Dorothy Ann Freeman (deceased 2008).

He is survived by his daughter, Tara Wiatrek and her husband Howard of Boerne. He is also survived by two grandchildren: Julia Mueller and husband Brendan of San Antonio; Nathan Wiatrek and wife Emily of Houston,  two sisters: Ruth Kott and his twin sister Corrine Bonn, both of Fredericksburg as well as his longtime friend  Marion Wellgehausen. Along with his parents and wife Dorothy Ann Freeman, Corwin was preceded in death by a son, Corwin Brett Anderegg 3 brothers; Marvin, Erwin and Dan Anderegg and 1 sister Vera Crow.

A Memorial Visitation will take place at the Fredericksburg Funeral Home on January 22, 2022 from 1:00p.m. 2:00p.m.

Private family disposition of his cremations will take place at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to Hill Country Memorial Hospice, or another charity of the donor's choice.
