Daniel Russell Dorritie, 88, of Harper, TX passed away peacefully on Friday, November 21. 2025 at his home.  He was born on October 13, 1937 in New York, NY and is the son of the late Howard and Anna (Magagnous) Dorritie.

He will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his wife Linda Dorritie, sister Ann McGivney of Highland Lakes, New Jersey; his four children, grandchildren and great grandchildren plus several nieces and nephews; numerous cousins; other relatives and many dear friends.

Russell proudly served in the Navy for 10 years and the Air Force for 10 years.   After retiring from the military, he continued to work at various jobs.

Russell loved the outdoors and taking long walks.  He also enjoyed traveling, sports, cooking and spending time with his family.
We find comfort in knowing that his legacy lives on through the lessons he taught us and the memories we will have forever. He left a lasting impact on everyone he knew.

He will be buried at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery in San Antonio, TX. on December 12, 2025 at 10:15 a.m. with military honors.
