Danny Lee Gotcher, 69, passed away on January 18, 2022, with his wife by his side. Danny was born in San Angelo, Texas, to Weldon and Belle Browning Gotcher on January 9, 1953. Danny was an avid outdoorsman who loved nature. He shared a love of fishing and hunting from an early age and enjoyed teaching his family and friends the tricks of the trade.

He was a faithful servant to his Lord, and he lived his life working hard and providing for his family and others in need. Danny began working in the construction industry before graduating high school and continued into many other business ventures and eventually opening multiple nursing homes, encompassing his love of hard work and dedication along with his compassion and generosity for those in need.

Danny met his bride-to-be and life companion, Karen in 1978. They were soon married and enjoyed 43 years together as husband and wife, and best friends. They were blessed with two beautiful girls.

Danny was a lot of things in life, and he fulfilled his roles as a husband and father unconditionally, but he also considered another role of his very important, and that was to be a friend to all. He didn't meet anyone he couldn't have fun with or make that person feel like they were on top of the world. His fun loving character made everyone feel at home.

His cooking was legendary, and if you were fortunate to experience Danny's hospitality, then you truly experienced him in his element. Whether he was cooking for a small group of friends or a large 4th of July party at the ranch, he made sure that everybody always had a good time. Danny was a true inspiration for all to follow. We will miss him, but he will never be forgotten.

Danny is survived by his wife, Karen, and two children, Misti (Kristopher) Dusek and Amber (Spencer) Lanham. He is also survived by his brother Jack (Diana) Gotcher, his sister Connie (David) Boehm, his grandchildren, Ava, Carolina, Weston, and Juliette, many nieces and nephews, and numerous friends.
