David W. Kothe of Fredericksburg passed away on July 11, 2026 at the age of 78.  

  He was born in Fredericksburg to Kermit and Naomi Cardwell Kothe. He married Linda Parsley in 1967.  

  David is survived by his daughter Kelly Dawn Smith and husband Eric of Ft. Worth, son  Kyle William Kothe and wife Leslie of Dripping Springs; sister Kathryn Jung and husband Harry; as well as 6 grandchildren; Megan Dawn Smith, Sara Bess Smith, Andrew William Smith, Kristopher Eric Smith, Avery Lynn Kothe, Cooper William Kothe and 1 great grandchild .  

  He is preceded in death by his parents Kermit and Naomi Kothe, his Wife Linda Bess Parsley Kothe.  

  A private  Celebration of Life will take place at a later date..
