David L. Mayer's Obituary
David Lloyd Mayer of Fredericksburg passed away on February 12 of 2017 at the age of 87.
David was born in Wheaton IL on April 14, 1929 to Lloyd Ball and Ruth Margarite Sanchez Ball Mayer. He served in the U.S. Army and earned his Master's degree. On July 29, 1956 he married Shirley Cyrus. David was an accomplished magician.
David is survived by his wife Shirley Mayer of Fredericksburg; daughter Pam Mayer-Caes and husband John of Chicago IL, son Steve Mayer and wife Nary of Chicago IL, son John Mayer and wife Anne Moreland of Fredericksburg TX, son Peter Mayer and wife Carla of Wheaton IL, daughter –in-law Melissa Gatrell of Alabama; 15 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.
He is preceded in death by his parents Lloyd Ball and Margarite Ball Mayer; son Mark Mayer.
A memorial service will take place Friday February 17 at 2:00 p.m. in the Hill Country Evangelical Free Church.
