Donald Lee Wanke of Harper passed away on January 20, 2018 at the age of 75. He was born in San Antonio to William F. and Darlene Mangold Wanke on February 13, 1942. He served his country in the Army and was wounded in Viet Nam. He married Caroline Jean Michael on October 1, 1971 in Seguin TX.

He is survived by his wife Caroline Jean Wanke of Harper TX, daughter Danette Lynn Maynes of San Antonio, son Donald Shane Wanke of Harper, sister Sandra Wanke Hartman and husband Bill of San Antonio; Grand Daughter Sierra Kay Gonzales.

He is preceded in death by his parents William F. Wanke Sr. and Darlene Wanke, son Tony Allen Williams, brother William F. Wanke Jr.

Per his wishes he will be cremated and a graveside service will take place at Ft Sam Houston on February 13, 2018 at 11:30 a.m. with military honors.
