Donetta K. Carrell Hahn, 76, of Ovilla, Texas, passed away peacefully on August 18, 2025. She was born on February 24, 1949, in Dallas, Texas, to Don and Roberta Carrell.

Donetta grew up in Duncanville, Texas, where she graduated from Duncanville High School Class of '67. She went on to dedicate her career to healthcare, retiring from Methodist Health System in Dallas. Known for her compassionate spirit and easy-going nature, Donetta touched the lives of many. She had a special love for animals, especially dogs, and will always be remembered for her kindness, generosity, and big heart.

She is survived by her son, Joshua Trevor Hahn; her brother, Ronnie Carrell and wife Glenda of Virginia; nieces Ronni Wilkerson of North Carolina, Tonya Wyatt and husband Wayne of Virginia, and Marla Stephens and husband Brent of Michigan; and nephew Tim Sims of DeSoto.

Donetta was preceded in death by her daughter Meredith Hahn, sister Patsy Sims, and her parents who now all welcome her home. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who knew her.

A service to honor Donetta's life will be held on Thursday, September 4, 2025 at 1pm at the United Methodist Church of Ovilla, with refreshments and family gathering back at the Church following the gravesite service. The family asks donations be sent to your local animal shelter in lieu of flowers.
