Edgar Jerry Jones was born on June 16, 1937 in Foster Oklahoma and passed away on June 26, 2025 at the age of 88, peacefully with his wife by his side at home in Fredericksburg Texas.

Jerry moved to Los Angeles, California in the summer of 1942 at the age of 5. He started going to a Pentecostal Church at the age of 6 and was saved in 1945 at the age of 8. He was baptized in Jesus name in Los Angeles at the age of 10. He went to college and joined the Coast Guard Reserves for 6 yrs.

Jerry was a very loving and caring husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He loved the Lord with all heart. Jerry loved to travel visiting with his family and friends. He loved to paint, fish, and play games, but most of all going to church and singing Christian songs.

Jerry is preceded in death by his parents Horace and Eunice Jones, his son Trent Jones and stepdaughter Diane Doppler.

He is survived by his wife Alice Jones, daughter LaNesa Wakefield, stepdaughter Lisa Guerrero, stepson Jason Doppler; grandkids; Daniel Jones, Allison Jones, Arron Hutto, Caleb Hutto, Miriam Trujillo, Anika Hutto, and Michael Hutto; great grandkids; Kaidyn Cannon, Nicholas Cannon, Dean Cannon, Chloe Canon, Elizabeth Hutto, Rowdy Hutto, Luke Trujillo, Bonnie Trujillo, Jolene Trujillo, Anina Murphy, Theodore Murphy, Lincoln Hutto and brother Darrell Jones and wife Audrey.

Jerry will be greatly missed but is now resting in the loving arms of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Visitation will take place on Tuesday July 1, 2024 from 4:00p.m. – 6:00p.m. in the Fredericksburg Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be on Wednesday July 2, 2025 at 2:00p.m. in the Fredericksburg Funeral Home with interment to follow in the Greenwood Cemetery.
