Edgar Priess Jr. of Fredericksburg passed away on Sunday April 3, 2022 at the age of 91. He was born to Edgar Priess Sr. and Cora Jung Priess in Gillespie County TX. He married Margaret Friedrich on October 27, 1956 in Bethany Lutheran Church in Fredericksburg.

Edgar is survived by his wife of 65 years Margaret Priess, daughter Gwen Arhelger and husband Peter of Houston TX, son Jason Priess and wife Rebecca of Fredericksburg; three grandchildren Benjamin Arhelger , David Arhelger, and Aymee Arhelger 3 great grandchildren Avery Rosado, Kinley Elmore and Addley Elmore.

He is preceded in death by his  parents Edgar and Cora Priess; siblings Ethel Duecker, Margaret Land, Victor Priess, and Marvin Priess; grandson Peter Arhelger Jr.

A Visitation will take place on Tuesday April 5, 2022 from 5:00p.m. -7:00p.m. in the Fredericksburg Funeral Home.

A memorial service will take place on Wednesday April 6, 2022 at 11:00a.m. in Zion Lutheran Church the family will greet friends from 10:00a.m. -11:00a.m. prior to the service.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Ricky Priess, Pat Duecker, Mark Nelson, Gordon Feller, Jimmy Frisch, Harold Frisch, Jimmy Priess, Bryan Land, Mike Klein and Ronnie Kunz.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Zion Lutheran Church, Friedrich Cemetery, Hill Country Youth Ranch in Ingram.
