Edgar Francis Keller of Johnson City, formerly of Fredericksburg, passed away on March 6, 2022 at the age of 94.

He was born in Cain City, TX to Theodore and Emelie Hohmann Keller on February 9, 1928.

He was a sports fan and avid lover of baseball and played on the local Fredericksburg Team.  He joined the Army at the end of WWII and rose to the rank of Sergeant First Class. After the war with Japan he served in the Army of Occupation in Okinawa.  He started as a 3rd generation home builder in Fredericksburg when he got back from the war up until retirement.  He enjoyed hunting and fishing on his ranch in Stonewall with his family.

Edgar "Opa" enjoyed spending time taking care of his yard, as many would say he had the best yard in town. He enjoyed visiting with family, neighbors, friends, and just about anyone in the community to shoot the breeze.  He had many stories to tell.

He is preceded in death by his father Theodore, mother Emelie, brothers Franklin, Elgin, and Arnold; sisters Elsie, Margaret, Lucile, Ruby.

He is survived by his son Ferris Keller and wife Susan, son Theodore Keller, daughter Diana Beeler and husband John, grandchildren Kristi Metcalf, Ryan Keller, Rebecca Tobin, Katie Ackels, Logan Maxwell, and 8 great grandchildren.

He also survived by his friends Ashley & Aaron Agold.

Opa, will be greatly missed by his family, friends, and community.

Visitation will be 4-6 pm Monday March 14, 2022 at Fredericksburg Funeral Home in Fredericksburg, TX where funeral services will be held  10:30am Tuesday, March 15, 2022, followed by graveside services with military honors at the Greenwood Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to Wounded Warriors at Nebo, or the charity of one's choice.
