Mr. Edward Jesse Walker passed away Saturday, January 21st, at the age of 81.
Edward Jesse is survived by his wife, Julia Walker of Fredericksburg; 2 sons: Preston Lee & Michael E. Walker of Mountain Home; daughter, Cindy Pickett Walker of Fredericksburg; 6 grandchildren & 6 great grandchildren.
Edward Jesse was born April 28, 1935, in Kimble County, to Ed Walter & Jesse Frances Cowsert Walker. He married Julia Behrends, March 30, 1954, in Fredericksburg.
Edward Jesse worked with the telephone company in Ingram for 21 years. He also worked as a telecom technician with the PTL (Praise The Lord) Network for 4 years. He retired after working at the State Hospital in Kerrville for 10 years. Never one to quit, he then worked part-time for the Crenwelges at one of the ALON stations.
Edward Jesse was preceded in death by his parents & 2 brothers in infancy, Walter Eston & William Preston Walker.
Visitation for Edward Jesse Walker will be 4-7 p.m., Monday, January 23rd & 7 a.m.-2 p.m., Tuesday, January 24th, in Fredericksburg Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m., Tuesday, January 24th, in the chapel of Fredericksburg Funeral Home, with Rev. Dr. Duane Weis officiating.
Serving as pallbearers: Mike Walker, Preston Walker, Mikey Walker, Joshua Walker, Mark Newman & Bill Pickett.
Graveside services will follow in the Noxville Cemetery.
