Ernestine F. Dietel-Grunau nee Zitzmann passed away on November 9, 2021 at the age of 97.

Ernestine was born on Sept. 21, 1924 In Erlangen, Mittefranken/Bavaria Germany

She attented Handels Oberschule in Fuerth/Bayem. In 1948, she immigrated to the USA, to San Angelo, Tx. After her Children started School she entered the working field. She was employed by several San Angelo Mfg. Co's as Cost Accountant, Office Manager and Treasurer. In 1961, she received Honorary Texas Citizenship, she was very honored and often said in fun, having lived thru the 7 year drought in West Texas, made her a Pioneer.

She was married to Norman J. Dietel, who preceded her in death.

She was active in her Church, mentored In Elementary- and Middle School. Under the Sponsorship of the German Club gave Saturday Devotions in German with friends, Elisabeth Conflitti and Erie Schiller over KNAF Radio Station.

She Is survived by her husband Kurt Grunau and her children Jerry J. Orsak, Michelle Thompson, Randy Dietel and Spouse Peggy, Rosemarie (Pixie) Hageman and Spouse BJ.-Stepchildren Ellen Bradley and Family, Herbert Grunau and Spouse Pamela, Ingrid Cavanaugh and Doug. 10 Grandchildren, 24 Great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by son Thomas C. Orsak.

Memorial Service held in Zion Lutheran Church on Saturday November 20, 2021 at 10:00a.m.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Zion Lutheran Church, Golden Hub, Fredericksburg Food Pantry, or the Charity of choice.
