Ewald A.H. Ottmers "Pete" of Stonewall passed away of January 4, 2019 at the age of 92. He was born November 2, 1926 to Edgar R. and Lydia Eckhardt Ottmers in Fredericksburg TX. He married Ruth Mayer "Metza" on April 26, 1947 in the Trinity Lutheran Church in Stonewall. Ewald was a carpenter and worked on many of the churches in Stonewall and Fredericksburg. Mr. Ottmers is survived by his children and their spouses; Roger Ottmers and Josie Neffendorf of Stonewall, Leland Ottmers and Eileen of Stonewall, Ricky Ottmers and Carol of Fredericksburg, Daisey Schneider and Keith of Cherry Spring, Pansy Benedict and Berry of Fredericksburg; 9 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by; his parents Edgar and Lydia Ottmers, wife Ruth Ottmers "Metza", brother Marvin Ottmers, sister Esther Schilling. Visitation will be Tuesday January 8, 2019 from 5:00p.m. to 7:00p.m. in the Fredericksburg Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be Wednesday January 9, 2019 at 10:00a.m. in the Trinity Lutheran Church in Stonewall with pastor Percy Smerek officiating. Interment will follow in the Trinity Lutheran Cemetery. Pallbearers will be: Jeremy Ottmers, Quintine Ottmers, Daniel Benedict, Allan Hardison, Nick Clark, Drew Benedict, Cheston Benedict, Wesley Rheinhardt, Chase Lantz. Honorary Pallbearers will be: Cherity Hardison, Kyle Hardison, Sadie Hardison, Noel Clark, Charles Clark, Jamand Clark, Kohl Clark, Brooklyne Clark, Kendra Ottmers, Hyleigh Ottmers, Kaden Ottmers, Kristel Rheinhardt, Madison Rheinhardt, Kaeson Rheinhardt, Kannon Rheinhardt, Kourtney Lantz, Kamryn Sieckmann, Coy Lantz, Auzzlyn Benedict, Carson Benedict, Zoe Benedict, Christi Benedict, Caleb Methvin, Bryce Torrico, Madison Torrico, Presley Doss, Caydence Benedict, Rankin Benedict. Memorial contributions may be made to Hill Country Memorial Hospice, Trinity Lutheran Church, Stonewall First Responders, Friendship Lane Center for Cancer Care or the charity of one's choice. |
