Obituary

Floyd Edwin (Ed) Brown of Fredericksburg passed away at the age of 94. He was born in Merkel TX to Elijah Lancaster Brown and Susan Elizabeth Temple Brown in 1930. He married Coralie (Corky) Harman on July 14, 1952. Floyd served his country in the Air Force and retired from the service.

He was director of the T.S.M.L.R.A. Member of the C.S.M.L.R.A.,  Life member of the N.R.A., Member of First Baptist Church of Fredericksburg, Act II Sunday School Class, the Flyers Club, and the Grapetown Schutzen Club. In 2016 he was inducted into the International Knife Throwers Hall of Fame.

Mr. Brown is survived by his wife Corky Brown of Fredericksburg, son Neal Brown of Fredericksburg, daughter Belinda S. Brown of Grand Junction CO. grandchildren Christian E. Brown of Aubrey TX, Amy Brown of Edmond OK, Angela Brown of Grand Junction CO as well as 7 great grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents Elisah and Susan Brown, brother Granvil Brown, 6 sisters Elvira Marbut, Ella Blakeley, Venus York, Arlene McPherson, Maggie Bristow, and Novalene Hubbard.

Mr. Brown will be cremated and his ashes will be buried in the Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery May 19th at 11:30am.

A celebration of his life will be held 1-5 p.m., May 18th, in the Grapetown Dance Hall.
