Frederick Alexander
Crenwelge
Dec 8, 1933 — Sep 25, 2024
Frederick A. Crenwelge, affectionately known as "Freddie & Uncle Freddie" was born on December 8, 1933, in Fredericksburg, Texas, to Frederick Carl Crenwelge and Ida Stein Crenwelge. He went to be with the Lord on September 25, 2024, at the age of 90.
Raised in the serene community of Pecan Creek, Freddie was a devoted lifelong member of St. Mary's Catholic Church. He proudly served his country as a member of the United States Army and later honed his skills as a finish carpenter. Freddie was also an avid hunter, sausage maker and barbecue enthusiast. He loved to bake bread and barbecue for his family and friends, creating many cherished memories around the grill.
Freddie is survived by his loving brother, Elroy Crenwelge, his dear sisters, Carol Maurer/husband Dennis, and Jacqueline Naill. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and great-nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; his sisters Rose Mae Stehling and her husband Norbert, Silverlee Hagel and her husband Allen, and Bonnibel Crenwelge; his brother-im-law, Bill Naill; his sister-in-law Clara Ann Crenwelge; his nephew Keith Hagel; and his nieces Linda Staffel and Hope Stehling.
Freddie's dedication to his church, craft and his community will be fondly remembered by all who knew him.
The family would like to thank the staff of Knopps Retirement Center and Knopps Nursing Home for their compassionate care of Freddie over the past few years.
