Gordon James Gilbert of Fredericksburg passed away on Wednesday August 29, 2018 at the age of 49. He was born in England to Michael John and Teresa Gilbert on July 11, 1969.  The family later moved to the USA. Gordon was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He met the love of his life Shirley Walker and she was by his side through the good and the bad. He loved visiting Del Rio and helping his friend Mario Saucedo on his ranch there. He was taken from his family way to soon.

He is survived by his wife Shirley Ahrens Walker of Fredericksburg, mother Teresa Gilbert of Early TX sons; James Gilbert and wife Gabby of Fredericksburg, Christopher Gilbert and wife Judy of Brownwood TX; daughter Natasha Gilbert of Fredericksburg; brother, Jeffrey Gilbert of Goldthwaite TX, sister Mary Ann Gaspar of Goldthwaite TX., 10grandchildren Shawn, Jacob, Jaki, Abel, Alejandra, Zach, Travis, Autumn, Junior, and Ryan as well as his grandmother in England.

He is preceded in death by his father Michael Gilbert.

Per his wishes he will be cremated and a memorial service will be held at 3:00p.m. on Saturday September 22, 2018 in the Fredericksburg Funeral Home.
