Helen Marie Balcar of Fredericksburg passed away on May 15, 2024 at the age of 84. She was born in Fredericksburg on March 31, 1940 to Richard and Gretchen Strackbein Kramer. She was married to William Balcar.

She is survived by her son Shawn Balcar and daughter-in-law Dianne McCoy both of Fredericksburg, sister Gloria Bailey and grandson Aaron McCoy; Helen's nephews and their spouse's Micheal's Bailey, wife Kathy Bailey, Keith Bailey wife Kathy Bailey, their children Jamie Bailey, and Zachery Bailey, Helen's niece Debbie Kramer, and her children Thomas Davidson, Brandon Davidson, & Charles Davidson. Aunt Lina, and Uncle Al's daughter Judy Vordenbaum.

She is preceded in death by her husband William Balcar, her parents Richard and Gretchen Kramer and a brother Harvey Kramer; Gloria Bailey's husband Rick Bailey their son Brian Bailey, Helen's brother Harvey Kramer, his wife Dorothy Kramer, Helen's aunt, and Uncle Lina, and Al Giviliano, grandson Bryce Balcar.

Visitation will take place on Sunday May 19, 2024 from 5:00p.m. – 7:00p.m. in the Fredericksburg Funeral Home.

Funeral Service will Monday May 20, 2024 at 1:00p.m. in the Holy Ghost Lutheran Church with interment to follow at Der Stadt Friedhof.

Pallbearers will be Michael Bailey, Zach Bailey, Kevin Trousdale, Aaron McCoy, Shane Dunn, Monte Koenneke.
