Hellen Minda Schuessler of Fredericksburg passed away on Wednesday November 16, 2022 at the age of 94. She was born to Eli and Minda Durst Houy in 1927 in Gillespie County. She married Monroe E Schuessler on May 6, 1951 in the Edison St. Methodist Church.

Hellen is survived by her children Erlene Dexter and husband Michael of Bandera, Kenneth Schuessler and wife Jeanna of Llano, siblings Newton Houy, Betty Rabke, Dorlene Teltow and Nathalie Sims; 4 grandchildren Michele Elliott, Kacee Funk, Clay Schuessler, Sara Weiss, and 6 great grandchildren Taylor Elliott, Conner Elliott, Claire Schuessler, Graham Schuessler, Bryson Funk, Madelyn Funk.

She is preceded in death by her husband Monroe E. Schuessler, her parents Eli and Minda Houy, siblings Elburnie Houy, Oline Sagebiel, Lillian Cooper and H.E. Houy.

Visitation will be Sunday November 20, 2022 from 4:00p.m.-6:00 p.m. in the Fredericksburg Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be on Monday November 21, 2022 at 3:00p.m. in the Fredericksburg Funeral Home with Rev. Mark Ward officiating. Interment will follow at Greenwood Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be: Tom Elliott, Clay Schuessler, Chris Funk, Brandon Weiss, Robert Houy, Bodie Houy, Lester Meier

Memorials may be made to Hill Country Memorial Hospice, Texas Methodist Foundation, Christ Lutheran Church at Cherry Spring, and Fredericksburg United Methodist Church or the charity of one's choice.
