Imogene Elizabeth Friedrich of Fredericksburg passed away on June 7, 2017 at the age of 84. Imogene was born on July 18 1932 to Julius  and Laura Koenig Friedrich in Gillespie County .

She is survived by her nephew,  Delton Novian of Fredericksburg , nieces, Donna Croy of Fredericksburg, Cindy Wenger of Kyle, and Donna McKinney of Hot Springs AR.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Julius and Laura Koenig Friedrich; siblings William Friedrich , Ruby Lindig, Annie Mae Novian , and Julia Lynette and Julius Albert Friedrich in infancy.

Imogene thoroughly enjoyed teaching Sunday School to small children at Edison Street Methodist Church for over 30 years. When she attended Fredericksburg United Metodist Church later in life she baked cookies for the preachers and the drivers that took her to church on Sunday mornings.

Imogene clerked at several grocery stores including Klett Foods and Quality Cash. Later she worked at Dooley's for 38 years, walking to work every day from West Main Street.

She lived with her mother and aunt, providing care for them until they passed away. She loved doing embroidery and won several ribbons at the Gillespie County Fair for the work she submitted.

Visitation will be Friday June 9, 2017 from 9:00a.m. to 2:30p.m. in Fredericksburg Funeral Home.

Funeral service will take place on June 9, 2017 at 2:30 p.m. in Fredericksburg Funeral Home with Pastor Sid Spiller officiating.

Interment will follow at Greenwood Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Jim Smarr, Michael Sembritzky, Douglas Tatsch, Kermit Klaehn, Terry Wahl, Troy Ottmers.

Memorials may be made to Fredericksburg United Methodist Church, Hill country Memorial Hospice or the Charity of Choice.
