Alfred Jackson "Jack" Baethge went to be with his Lord, Saturday, December 15 ^th , at the age of 89.

Jack was born in Doss, TX, June 29, 1929, to Alfred and Agnes Tanner Baethge.

Jack met his wife, Mary Paula Blackshear, at a church meeting. They married May 17, 1949, in Austin, TX. Church was a very important part of their lives. They joined the Squaw Creek Primitive Baptist Church, where Jack served as a deacon. Jack spent many, many hours barbequing for those old time Camp Meetings.

Jack's work took him from Doss to San Antonio, to Bishop, to Harper, then back to Doss. He did many different things on his journey.

Jack is survived by 5 children: Lynette (James) Gerdes of Sinton, Lorin Baethge of Doss, Ronney (Debbie) Baethge of Waco, Paul (Ann) Baethge of Doss, Kina (Scott) Senior of Harper; daughter-in-law Eunice Baethge of Luckenbach; 18 grandchildren: Janice (Joey) Hopson, Gail (Oscar) Diaz, Justin Gerdes, Carrie Jo Baethge, Ty (Caroline) Baethge, Annette (Ryan) Pool, Aaron (TA) Brooks, Randy (Danielle) Baethge, Cody (Megan) Baethge, Heath Baethge, Jarime (Becky) Baethge, Crystal Goolsby, Chad (Trisha) Baethge, Gaelyn Baethge, Warren Hogue, Missi (Lonny) Thomas, Ron (Gaby) Storms, Amy Gonzales; 38 great grandchildren.

Jack was preceded in death by his wife, Paula of 59 years, his parents,a brother Lorin Baethge and son, Alfred "Al" Jackson Baethge Jr.

Jack's hobbies incuded playing baseball, wood working, deer hunting, playing dominoes and 42.

He was a scout leader for his son's Webelo group and a baseball coach for their little league teams.
