Mr. James (Jim) Bartow Fields of Fredericksburg, Texas passed away on April 22, 2020.  Jim was born in Shawnee, Oklahoma on February 18, 1931 as the only child to Archie and Roberta Fields.  He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Jeanette Fields and 6 sons; Craig, Mike, Richard, Stephen, Michael, and John Fields.  In addition, he is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren as well as his first cousin, Betty Mellen, of Fredericksburg, Texas, brother-in-law Wayne Modrall.  Jim spent the majority of his career in retail and for many years was the manager of Winn's Variety Store in downtown Fredericksburg.  He was a member of First Baptist Church and was a friend to many.  He always left every conversation with his "I'm glad you got to see me" phrase and was loved by many and will be dearly missed.

A private graveside service will take place.
