James Duke Gillespie passed away Thursday, July 29 ^th , at the age of 94.

He was born in Wellington TX on December 11, 1926 to James Lawrence and Alma Pearl Duke Gillespie. He married Alene Davis in Del Rio TX on February 6 1949.

James is survived by his son, Stan Gillespie of Blanco, daughter Lisa Ochoa of Fredericksburg and 3 grandchildren Shayna McCullough, A.J. Gillespie, and Jesse Gillespie, and 5 great grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents James L. and Alma Pearl Gillespie, wife Alene Gillespie, son James M. Gillespie, grandson Travis Gillespie, sister Inez Haynes son in-law Albert Ochoa, daughter in-law Mary Jane Gillespie.

Per his request, he will be cremated with private family services.
