Janice Elaine Stephenson of Fredericksburg passed away on December 14, 2025 at the age of 79. She was born in Austin TX to Andrew Jackson Monroe and Edna Wood Monroe. She married Charles D. Stephenson on March 9, 1963.

She is survived by her children Connie Wehmeyer and husband Steve, Charles Daniel "Danny" Stephenson and wife Arlene Settles Stephenson; 7 grandchildren, Robin Wehmeyer, Christopher Wehmeyer  and wife Kayla, Melissa Fritz and husband Kody, Ashly Stephenson, Holden Stephenson, Janay Wise and husband Jake, Bella Settles; great grandchildren Landyn Wehmeyer, Myles Mujica, Taylor Fritz, Allie Rae Fritz. and Riley Heinrich as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Janice is preceded in death by her husband Charles D. Stephenson; parents Andrew and Edna Monroe; siblings Andrew Jackson Monroe Jr., Milton Lee Monroe, Shirley Edna Grimes and Sylvia Bensley.

Visitation will be Thursday December 18, 2025 from10:00a.m.- 1:30p.m. in the Fredericksburg Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be Thursday December 18, 2025 at 1:30p.m. in the Fredericksburg Funeral Home with Colleen Haley officiating. Interment will follow in the Greenwood Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Danny Stephenson, Holden Stephenson, Jake Wise, Kody Fritz, Steven Wehmeyer, Christopher Wehmeyer.
