Javier Rivera Neri of Fredericksburg passed away on Wednesday, January 23th at his residence at the age of 65 years.  He was born on November 20, 1954 to Aurelio and Maria Dominguez Rivera.

He is survived by his wife Petra Rivera Herrera of Fredericksburg; three daughters and six sons and spouses;  Jorge and Oralia Cisneros of Fredericksburg, Lucilia Velazquez of Fredericksburg, Daniel and Alma Castaneda of Fredericksburg, Javier and Juven Rivera of Fredericksburg,  Joaquin Rivera of Fredericksburg, Aurelio and Agueda Rivera of Fredericksburg, Juan Rivera of Fredericksburg, Agapito Rivera of Fredericksburg, and Manuel and Angelita Rivera of Fredericksburg,  29 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren, 4 sisters and 2 brothers.

He is preceded in death by his parents Aurelio and Maria Rivera, and 2 sisters.

Pallbearers will be Javier Rivera, Joaquin Rivera, Aurelio Rivera, Juan Rivera, Jorge Cisneros, Manuel Rivera, Memo Gurrola, and Daniel Costaneda.

Visitation will be Sunday January 27 from 5:00p.m. to 7:00p.m. in the Fredericksburg Funeral Home with a Rosary at 7:00p.m.

Mass of Resurrection will take place on Monday January 28 at 9:30 a.m. in St. Mary's Catholic Church with Father Alberto Lelo. Interment will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery.
