Obituary

Jerome J. Lindig of Fredericksburg passed away on December 8, 2021 at the age of 74. He was born at the Keidel Memorial Hospital in Fredericksburg to Clinton and Clara Lindig. He was baptized at the Twin Sisters Lutheran Church and confirmed at Zion Lutheran Church in Castroville TX on April 15, 1962.  He attended Southwest School and graduated in 1966. He was employed by the TX Highway Department in San Antonio for 31 years and retired in 2000. After retirement he became a Texas hill country rancher taking care of his goats and cattle on his ranch in Harper. He also enjoyed deer hunting on the ranch as well, and he loved to play dominoes.

He is survived by his brothers Melvin Lindig and Ronnie Lindig and his wife Irene; nephews;  David Lindig and wife Sara, Clinton Lindig, Allen Lindig, Marcus Lindig, and niece Melissa.

He is preceded in death by his wife Marilyn, his parents Clinton and Clara Lindig.

Visitation will be Wednesday December 15, 2021 from 4:00pm – 6:00p.m. in the Fredericksburg Funeral Home.

Funeral service will be Thursday December 16 at 10:00a.m. in the Zion Lutheran Church. A private interment service will take place in the Noxville Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to Hill Country Memorial Hospice, Noxville Cemetery, Friedrich Cemetery or the charity of your choice.
