John Michael Banfield, 78 of Fredericksburg, TX, passed away at his home on October 3, 2018. He was in the care of his loved ones.

John Michael Banfield was born September 19, 1940 in Milford, Michigan to his parents Warren and Gertrude Banfield née McIntyre. He was of English and Irish descent.

John married Janyth Marie Thybault on March 8, 1961 and remained together until his passing. They had to sons John Jr. and Jeff.

He was a business owner, master carpenter and goat raiser.  He worked and stayed active, slowed down a bit but, never completely retired until his death. He loved his wife and family, his grandkids and his loyal dog, Bella.

John Banfield is survived by his wife, Janyth Banfield; his sons, John Banfield and wife Valerie of Johnson City, Jeff Banfield and wife Anita of Fredericksburg; and his 4 grandchildren.

John Banfield husband, father, grandfather and friend will be deeply missed by his family and friends. In a display of Texas-Irish fashion, there was a get-together for close friends and family that included country music, BBQ, Irish Whiskey and Pearl Beer for all that attended.
