John Hunter Davis of Fredericksburg passed away on December 11, 2023 at the age of 92. He was born in Terrell TX to Richard Perry Davis Sr. and Zelma Franklin Hunter Davis on January 6, 1931. He married Nancy Knapp on June 1, 1953 in Charleston WV.

John is survived by his wife of 70 years Nancy Davis, daughters Susan Wooters of NC, Terri Davis and husband David Bolach of West Sacramento CA; sister Martha Boyd; and 5 grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents Richard Sr. and Zelma Davis;2 sisters and a brother.

Per his wishes he will be cremated with a private family service to take place at a later date.
