Joriko Andre Rubio left this earth on September 1, 2025, at the young age of 17. He was born on March 24, 2008, in Fredericksburg, Texas, to his loving mother, Jennifer Marie Ballejo. Joriko was blessed to be raised for many cherished years by James and Gina Gamez, who nurtured him with love and guidance.

From the very beginning, Joriko's life was filled with joy, laughter, and light. He shared countless wonderful memories with his brothers, Kai and Daven Ballejo, who will forever hold him close in their hearts. His early childhood years in Fredericksburg were spent surrounded by family and friends, creating moments of happiness that will always be remembered.

Joriko had a deep love for life. He enjoyed fishing, going to the beach, and playing sports such as soccer, basketball, football, and baseball. As a child, he practiced karate and excelled in Punt, Pass, and Kick competitions, where he earned several awards. At the time of his passing, he was a proud senior at Leander High School, preparing to embrace the future with hope and excitement.

Joriko also had a playful side—he loved playing his PS5, hanging out with his friends, listening to music, cracking jokes, dancing, and singing. Wherever he went, he carried an energy that lit up the room and brought smiles to those around him.

One of the most meaningful moments of Joriko's life in 2022, he gave his life to Jesus and was baptized by James Gamez and Gina Gamez. His faith grew through youth groups and Summer Bible Camps, and it gave him strength and peace throughout his journey.

Family meant everything to Joriko. He was honored to stand beside his older brother Daven on his wedding day, a memory that brought him joy and pride. Despite any challenges he faced, Joriko never stopped moving forward with love in his heart.

Joriko left this world alongside his beloved mother, Jennifer Marie Ballejo. He is preceded in death by his grandmother, Vicenta Ballejo Gamez, and his great-grandmother, Estella Perez.

He is survived by his brothers, Daven Ballejo and wife Abigail Korinne Ballejo, and Kai Ballejo; Uncles James "Duh" and Gina Rae "Nini" Gamez ; Ricky "Bibi" and Monica "Mon" Soto; cousins Aizik Soto, Kevin Dean, Ronnie Dean, Kali Soto, and Ashley Rojas; Survived by his mother's long-time boyfriend Roy Munoz; His mother's former partner Monica Rubio and Robert Ybarra and many other family members and friends who loved him deeply.

Pallbearers honoring Joriko's life are Karson Smith, Kevin Dean, Ronnie Dean, Robert Ybarra, Aizik Soto, Vincent Castenuela, Moses Guerrero, Peyton Gordon.
