Kathleen Rubens Williams died peacefully on May 19, 2025 at 79 years old. She was born on December 3, 1945 in Niagara Falls, New York to USAF Chief Warrant Officer 4, Reven Andre Rubens and Ada Ruby Rubens. Kathy is survived by her husband of 38 years, Gerald Wayne Williams; her three daughters, Laura (John) Benthale, Alison (Kameron) Rezai, Eileen (Chris) Douglass;  her step-children, Chris (Melody) Williams, Greg Williams and Melanie (Darryl) Hirschler and her grandchildren, Ben, Cole, Paige, Bryce, Vance, Grant & Ada and her step-grandchildren, Ashton, Jake & Calvin; and her sisters, Karen Cusack and Diana (Kim Beale) Rubens.

Kathy graduated from Oxon Hill High School in Maryland after living on Bitburg Air Force Base in Germany for several years. After graduating, she worked at Dover Air Force Base before starting her career as a flight attendant for Eastern Airlines. Kathy took advantage  of the perks of working for an airline and travelled the world with friends and family.  She visited many places across South America, Asia and Africa before starting a family in McLean, Virginia with Garrett Coleman (dec), the father of her 3 daughters.

Kathy met Captain Jerry Williams during their long careers at Eastern Airlines and in 1986 they married and moved to Avon, Indiana where they raised Laura, Alison and Eileen.  Among her many talents, Kathy was an accomplished seamstress and loved to be in her sewing room where she could create anything - prom dresses, cheerleading uniforms and numerous custom shirts for Jerry.  She loved home projects, going to auctions and would drive countless miles for vacations or to visit family so they could bring along their beloved dogs.

Kathy and Jerry retired to Fredericksburg, Texas in 2010 and built JK Ranch. Their Hill Country community quickly became a second family.  They could often be found at the Fredericksburg Brewery, Becker Winery or enjoying the sunset from their porch.

Kathy was diagnosed with dementia in 2020 and it rapidly progressed until her passing.  Her family is grateful to the memory care team, residents and residents' family members at The Villages at Windcrest and the Methodist Hospice team who cared for her in her final days. She will be greatly missed.

A memorial service and celebration of her life will be held in the Fall in Fredericksburg.
