Kayla Danay Maughan, 27, of Kerrville Tx. Went to be with our Lord on Saturday July 24, 2021 from the result of a tragic accident. She was born on May 19, 1994 in Fredericksburg Tx. to James and Beverly Collum of Kerrville Tx. Kayla graduated from Tivy High School in 2011where she also served in ROTC. Kayla was full of life and was a passionate baker and cook . She baked cakes for all occasions for everyone. Kayla also like the adventure of traveling and she loved to read. She had a very loving and giving heart.

Kayla met Joshua Maughan in June of 2017 and they were married on June 9,2019. They have 2 children together.  Kayla's life then became a wife and mother which she took very seriously. Her goals in life were to make sure her family was taken care of.  She enjoyed going to the  park, swimming and cook outs with family.

She is preceded in death by her Paternal grandparents Buddy Collum and Christine Collum. Her Maternal grandparents Stanley Boner Sr. and Helen Boner as well as 2 aunts Glenda Smith and Rhonda Boner.

She is survived by her husband Joshua Maughan, daughter Kaly Maughan, and son Landon Maughan. Her parents James and Beverly Collum, sister Kaneetha Collum, brother-in-law Joey Ortega, nieces Kiara Ortega and Camille Ortega. She is also survived by lots of aunts, uncles, cousins and second cousins.

A memorial service is set for Saturday August 14, 2021 at the Dietert Center, 451 Guadalupe Street at 2:00 p.m. Following the memorial service, the family would love for family and friends to come out to Flatrock Park celebrate Kayla's life and release balloons.
