Obituary

Kermit Rueben Strackbein of Harper passed away May 24th at the age of 84.

Kermit is survived by his wife, Marian Kunz Strackbein; children Keith Strackbein and wife Patty of Midlothian, Kathy Strackbein of San Antonio, Glenda Lerma and husband Alex of Seguin; 6 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren and brother, Brent Strackbein and wife Veronica of Harper.

Kermit was born June 15, 1939, in Fredericksburg to Edwin and Elnora Nixon Strackbein. He married Marian Kunz June 4, 1960 in Kerrville. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister Corine Wienecke.

The family will greet friends 10-11 a.m. Saturday, June 1st, in St. Anthony's Catholic Church of Harper, followed by a rosary at 11, eulogy by the grandchildren at 11:30 and funeral service at 12. Graveside services will follow in Harper Community Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made in his memory to St. Anthony's Catholic Church, Harper Vol. Fire Dept., or the charity of one's choice.
