Kittie  Ruth Jung Conner (nee Jackson) passed away in Fredericksburg, TX. September 06, 2025 at the age of 87 years. She was a retired teacher and homemaker.

Kittie was born April 10, 1938 to Bob and Pauline Jackson in Laredo, Texas. She graduated from Iraan High School in 1956.

Kittie obtained her Bachelor's Degree from Sul Ross State University and her Master's Degree from Texas Tech

She married C D Jung in 1958……at the First Christian Church in Iraan……they had two children, a daughter, Karol Ruth Jung was born in1960 in Midland Texas and a son, David Jung was born in 1961 in Fredericksburg, TX.

Kittie taught in several places in her 23+ years……Clint, San Angelo, Pecos, Ingram, and Junction, and Denver City.

Kittie was an avid member for many years of the Harper Volunteer Fire & Ems Department, as an ECA and served as Secretary for a while and loved going out on ambulance calls, helping friends and strangers.

Kittie was also involved with the St James WELCA group, quilting, knitting, crocheting and food drives. Crocheting quilts was a specialty of hers as she gave countless ones away to all her friends and family.

Kittie loved traveling in their motor home across the USA going camping with her husband and grandkids or friends and was not afraid to drive anywhere.

CD passed away in 1981, Kittie remarried in 1983 to Sherman Conner of Denver City, TX and retired from the Denver City ISD as an Educational Diagnostician in 1987, Sherman passed away at Harper, TX. in 1999.

Kittie is preceded in Death by: Father - W D Jackson, Mother - Pauline Jackson, Brother - John Jackson, Husband - CD Jung, Husband - Sherman Conner, Daughter - Karol Ruth Jung Laumann, and Granddaughter - Sarah Kristine Jung McLemore.

Morning our loss: Son - David and Kathy Jung of Harper, Grandson - Bobby Jung and Courtney, Jaidyn and Ryder McGehee of Harper, Stepdaughter - Tammy and John Tucker of Abilene, Sister-in-law - Dian Jackson, Nephew  - Delaney Jackson, both of Joelton, TN, Step grandchildren - Blaine Neumann and Shannon Neumann.

A viewing for Kittie Ruth Jung Conner was held Wednesday, Sept 10, 2025, 5PM – 7PM at the Fredericksburg Funeral Home in Fredericksburg TX.

Services were held in St James Lutheran Church in Harper, TX at 10am Thursday, September 11, 2025, with burial at the Harper Cemetery.
