Larry Elliot Goins' Obituary
Larry Elliot Goins, 68, beloved Father, Son, and Grandfather was called to his eternal resting place on August 28, 2017 in Odessa. He entered this world on June 19, 1949 in Fredericksburg, Texas, born to A.J. and Evelyn Goins nee Baethge.
Larry graduated in 1967 from Odessa High School and earned an Associates Degree from Odessa College in 1996. He served in the United States Air Force from 1967 - 1975, attaining the rank of Sargent.
He was preceding in death by his father, A. J. Goins, and his brother, James "Jim" Goins.
He is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Gail nee Darling; his mother, Evelyn Goins, of Fredericksburg; 2 sons, Christopher Goins, of Odessa and son Seth Goins, and his wife, Stephanie; daughter, Jennifer Guill, and her husband, James, of San Antonio; sister, Ava Bennett, of San Angelo; brother Mark Goins of Fredericksburg; and granddaughter, Willow Goins of Odessa.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 PM on Wednesday, August 30, 2017, at Distinctive Funeral Choices, 1506 N. Grandview, Odessa, Odessa, Texas.
A funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM Thursday, August 31, 2017, at Bethel Assembly of God, 319 East 42nd Street, Odessa, Texas with the Reverend John VanHoose officiating.
A graveside service will be held at 12:00 PM Friday, September 1, 2017, at Squaw Creek Cemetery in Doss, Texas.
Services entrusted to Distinctive Funeral Choices, 1506 N. Grandview, Odessa, Odessa, Texas.
