Laura Mae Lundeen of Fredericksburg passed away on April  3,  2022 at the age of 92. She was born in The Welland community in IL on August 19, 1929

. t o Curtis and Mabel Zinke Warren. She was married to Robert Lundeen in Rockford, IL on Oct. 31, 1948.

Laura was a lifetime member  of the  Hill Country Memorial Hospital Auxiliary, of which she was very proud. She was an avid bridge player and enjoyed bowling on a women's team, as  well · as a  mixed team  with her husband. She  also enjoyed hunting and fishing and brags that she inadvertently shot two deer with one shot, a fact she never let her husband forget.  She also enjoyed the many trips she and her husband took around the United States.

Laura and her family moved to  Fredericksburg in November, 1952. The family purchased and operated Happy Courts, a local motel, which is now Frederick Motel.  She and her family  joined the First Methodist Church in  December, 1952. She taught Sunday School and Vacation Bible School and enjoyed being a member of a women's circle. She was also a member  of the Prayer Shawl Ministry and enjoyed crocheting blankets, up until her death. She won first place in the nursing home category for one of the blankets she crocheted; a proud moment for her.

She is survived by her daughters: Carol Ottmers and husband, Ricky, Karen Neffendorf, 4 grandchildren:   Spencer  Neffendorf & wife, Blake, April Neffendorf Cade & husband, James, Blake Neffendorf & wife, Janie, and Jeremy Ottmers and wife, Kendra and 11 great grandchildren: Chace Cade, Kyler Cade, Kinley Cade, Dalton Inks, Savannah Neffendorf, Maddux Neffendorf, Otto Neffendorf, Presley Schumpelt, Grayson Schumpelt,

Hyleigh Ottmers, and Kaden Ottmers, and numerous nieces and nephews who she loved deeply.

She is preceded in  death by her husband,  Robert  Lundeen, son Robert "Bobby" Ernest Lundeen, in infancy, brother Robert Warren, and sister Vera Witte.
