Mr. Lesly "Les" Cowart of Fredericksburg passed away on April 8, 2026 at the age of 87. He was born in Houston TX to Arvel and Florence Bohanan Cowart. He married Vera Crane on November 21 1957 in Fairbanks TX.

b  Mr. Cowart is survived by his wife of 68 years Vera Cowart; his sons Wesley Wayne Cowart and wife Gwen of Georgetown, Daniel Arvel Cowart  of Fredericksburg, Steven Earl Cowart and wife Roberta of Fair Oaks Ranch; brother Melton Cowart; as well as 7 grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents Arvel and Florence Cowart; brother Rodney Cowart.

A graveside service with military honors will take place on April 15, 2026 in Ft Sam Houston National Cemetery at 10:45 a.m.
